About WorkWise for Screen

WorkWise for Screen is a £1.5m pilot programme supported by the BFI awardingNational Lottery funding. It aims to provide the screen industry with practicalresources and guidance to support equity, inclusion, and respect in the workplace.The programme includes an online platform, podcast series, and peer-to-peernetwork, targeting screen sector SME Leaders and Heads of Department acrossproduction, animation, VFX, gaming, distribution, and exhibition. 

The WorkWise for Screen Programme is being delivered by a lead team comprising:-

The programme uses the HubSpot CRM to manage its relationships with users of theplatform, stakeholders and other interested parties. 

Target Audience:

Our target audiences include SMEs, independent and global production companies,particularly focusing on management and budget holders within theseorganisations. We aim to engage leaders and decision-makers within productioncompanies, covering diverse fields of production from small to large enterprises.

Role Overview:

We are seeking a dedicated and proactive Online Community Engagement Manager to join our team on a part-time basis. The ideal candidate will be responsible for fostering and managing online communities, building relationships, and encouraging participation. This role involves creating engaging content that stimulates conversation, moderating discussions, and ensuring a positive and inclusive environment for community members. Additionally, the manager will develop and conduct polls to gather insights that will inform the programme and its content development. We aim to generate conversation and discussion via our Community Page on the WorkWise for Screen platform as well as our digital channels.This is a highly collaborative role with the postholder working closely with theContent Producer, Programme Coordinator, Communications Team and Bond &Coyne in particular.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Content Creation and Curation: Develop engaging content targeted at our keyaudiences that sparks conversations and keeps users of the platform andfollowers on our digital channels engaged.
  • Community Moderation: Ensure a safe, supportive, and inclusive environment bymoderating discussions and addressing any issues that arise.
  • Engagement Strategy: Design and implement an online community engagementstrategy to encourage participation and help shape the strategic direction of theprogramme.
  • Relationship Building: Foster relationships and build a sense of community andbelonging.
  • Poll Development: Design and implement polls to gather valuable insights fromthe community, helping to shape the programme's content and direction.
  • Data Analysis and Reporting: Monitor community engagement metrics and usedata to inform decision-making and improve strategies.
  • Collaboration: Work with other programme partners and stakeholders to aligncommunity engagement efforts with the overall strategic goals of theprogramme.
  • Communication: Maintain clear and consistent communication with communitymembers and stakeholders.Retention: Develop strategies to retain engaged members and prevent churn

Specification:

  • Experience in community management, preferably within the screen industry or related sectors.
  • Strong understanding of equity, inclusion, and respect in the workplace.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Proficiency in using online community platforms and tools.
  • Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.
  • Strong organisational skills and attention to detail.
  • Good understanding of screen businesses and the needs of leaders and Heads ofDepartments responsible for engaging and managing others.

Summary of terms:

Salary: £35,000 p.a. (FTE)

Contract: 13 months fixed term contract (01 June 2025 – 30 June 2026). 

Start Date: 01 June 2025 (negotiable)

Annual Leave: 25 days per annum pro rata + UK bank holidays

Pension: Auto-enrolment. 3% employer’s contribution. 

Working hours: This part time role is 18.75 hours per week (excluding lunch break)worked flexibly across the week (usual office hours 9am – 5pm). Due to the nature ofthe role, some evening or weekend work may be required for which TOIL will beavailable.

Probation period: Two months, during which either party may terminate the contract with four weeks’ notice. Notice period is two months following the successful completion of the probation period. Place of work: Home with some potential for travel and working away. Equipment: Can be provided if required. Employer: The successful candidate will be employed by ProArtsPlus Limited (the Programme Director’s company)
